Referees position

Referees position (or bottom) happens when the wrestler has choice to pick which position he wants or if one of the wrestlers gets taken down and goes out of bounds, then the ref stops the match and brings them back to the center and bottom man gets set. The bottom man must have his hands and knees on the mat. top man must cover on top when the ref signals him too.

Top position

The top position is when the wrestler gets on top of the other opposing wrestler who is starting in referees position. the ultimate goal here is to ride the other wrestler out for the rest of the duration of the period.

Neutral Position

A wrestling match begins with both wrestlers starting in the neutral position.
Anytime after that the wrestler has to signal to the ref that he chooses neutral, or if the ref makes the call back to neutral.

2 points takedown
2 points reversal
1 point escape
2 or 4 point near fall
A pin occurs when both shoulders touch the mat for 2 seconds or longer.
